Vote Sasamats!

u/sasamats (they/them/we the people) is a student triple-majoring in electrical engineering, earth and ocean science, and agriculture, with a minor in shaking people down for cash. When not campaigning for AMS president, they can be found commenting on Reddit, planting corn in MacInnes field, lowballing people on Facebook Marketplace, and scheming (probably all at the same time).

u/sasamats has identified innovative, fresh, juicy policies that everyone at UBC can get behind or in front of (or above or below or alongside).

u/sasamats is passionate about water:

• Shut down Aqua Society and replace with modular N-scale railroading club (I don't like that the pool closes early so they can SCUBA dive in there)
• 24 hour swim at the pool at your own risk

u/sasamats has a strong vision for campus safety:

• Replace UBC security vehicles with design team vehicles
• Promote carpooling: the brake pedal will be installed on the passenger side of each UBC security vehicle
• Replace safety buttons with the King's Guard. Horses mandatory, co-op opportunities provided for applied animal biology.

u/sasamats passion for social justice:

• Climate justice: anyone who studies a field that will be bad for the environment will pay an extra $1000 "I'm sorry" fee (used as a bursary for the David Suzuki fields).
• Fight global warming by forcing all students to leave their windows open in the summer and turn on air conditioning.
• Bring back the mask mandate. Y'all are legitimately nasty.

• Block party now held on SkyTrain
• Bring the pope to block party
• Justin Trudeau appointed as VP Student Life.
• Permanent mechanical bull in the fountain.
• Turn Main Mall into world's longest bowling alley

u/sasamats can get this organization back on track:

• Replace chairs in Michael Kingsmill forum with stationary generator bicycles so that AMS council actually generates something
• Shop local: all AMS purchasing conducted via lowballing on Facebook Marketplace
• Post the Dredyn files, but only the funniest parts
• AMS meetings more accessible: livestream on Twitch
• All decisions made by poll on r/ubc
• Reduced transparency: all windows in AMS replaced with plywood
• Triple Ubyssey funding
• Honouring our official languages: every AMS speech must occur in English and French.

• Blue Chip expanded to first and second floors of Nest.
• Gambling den in Alumni Center. 500 buffalo machines are on route.
• Get rid of Workday - replace with swivel iPad with tip option.

• Replace Sauder with the Sasamats School of Agriculture.
• Relieve housing crisis: install Murphy beds in every classroom.
• Complementary Zyn pouches.
• Replace Engineering Physics with Agricultural Engineering
• Relocate magnetic north pole to UBC
• Move old Fire Hall back to where it was
• No more situationships
• More squat racks in the ARC: banned if caught dilly-dallying
